§ 40.09. VEHICLE STORAGE FEES.

  • (A) Vehicles detained by the Police Department in conjunction with arrests will incur a storage fee of fifteen dollars ($15) per day per vehicle for each day that a detained vehicle is stored by the Police Department on Town property.
    (B) The accumulated storage fee shall be paid into the general fund of the Town and immediately transferred to the Criminal Investigation Fund by the Clerk-Treasurer, to be expended pursuant to the provision of § 34.012. The accumulated storage fee shall be paid before the vehicle will be released, whether under court order or otherwise.
    (C) The storage fee of fifteen dollars ($15) per day is determined to be a reasonable fee for the overhead costs involved in storage of a vehicle.
